WHAT IS RED TRUCK COMICS?

Red Truck Comics is a United States comic company and the sole propriety business of Tim Campbell, and that is literally all it is right now. These are my comics.

I conceptualized, wrote, illustrated, and worded every comic. Comic work continues. Check my twitter, @timcampbe, for updates!

I'm a professional comic artist and have been doing comic art for many years now. I've had stories in my head since forever and this is my way to express that creativity.

I am not currently hiring, but I am available for commissioned work.

WHO ARE YOU, TIM?

I am an introverted, asburgers guy with an insatiable taste for creativity and making things for people to enjoy. It's my love language. I'm very bad with words in normal conversation, so to give people some relief and a sense of wonder through my creative passion, that's a successful communication.

I'm a very quiet, reserved person in real life and I like to take my time to analyze and think things through.

My resume? Art Director for Team Sea3on and Indie comic artist for various indie companies including Comfort and Adam LLC and Bear Claw Studios.

COMPANY VALUES?

The values of Red Truck Comics are as follows:

  • Red Truck Comics is not a political company. It does not align with any particular political party.
  • Character motivations and lore are what drives the story and immersive imagination.
  • That being said, Red Truck Comics stories are (presently) adult fantasies. They're meant to entertain. Relax and enjoy.
  • Story elements are not meant as an attack on any one particular group or peoples. It is a window into another world.
  • These stories are meant to entertain, as such the contents of the stories are not necessarily actions the Red Truck Comics company condones. It is up to you how you interpret the actions of the characters, good or bad.
  • Quality and craftmanship are highly valued.
  • Money and profit are only necessities. Money is not the goal. Sparking wonder, making positive impacts, supporting people and crafting artistic expression is. Money is simply the needed tool.
  • Stable Diffusion programs are not used at any point in the work of Red Truck Comics, for art, writing, voices, etc. Red Truck Comics takes a low brow view of such programs.

LEGALITY OF FANWORK

  • Coming from comic con geek culture, Red Truck Comics is lax on art sold depicting its characters and world. This company has high respect for artists, freedom of creativity and pursuit of happiness. So long as you created it, and it's not a reprint or tracing of what was done by someone else, you are free to sell that work as an independent artist. But we need to talk a license deal if you want to use Red Truck Comics logos or the logos of Gara-Nora to avoid trademark confusion. In all other cases, such as comic production companies or large retail markets, but not limited to these cases, you must contact me for a licensing deal. You must be an individual artist selling your own work to use these characters and worlds freely. You also cannot sell your art product in a retailer space, such as but not limited to, Hot Topic, Spencer's, GameStop, etc. It must be you selling it, online or at a booth. Having your product made by someone else, such as a printer or 3D printer/statue maker, is fine. So long as they are printing/producing something you entirely made.    TLDR: If you made it, you can sell it as an individual. Don't use the logos.
  • Not for sale, not for profit, entirely free fan works are entirely okay. If the imagery is used in a way to gain profits, individual artists and bigger company rules stated in the previous point about who can sell works depicting Red Truck Comics characters and worlds apply.
  • Patreon and other donation sites have the same rules as individual sellers. Just as long as it's you as an individual.
  • Groups of creators is a case by case basis. If your a small group, you're probably fine. If you're basically a corporation, let's talk a license deal.

Red Truck Comics does not automatically condone the content of works outside the company depicting its characters and worlds. It simply respects the freedom to create, whatever that looks like. Even if this company doesn't like the content. Some things I will frown upon and strongly dislike, personally, but I respect your freedoms.
